I dont know where to post this i could not find a specific place for it so I will post it here.

Well I am trying to learn how to read sheet music but the keyboard I have got dosnt help very much (its a YAMAHA PSR E303) eg when I try to learn Happy Birthday the notes on the sheet music and on my keyboard are off. On the sheep music you press C twice but the position of the note on the sheet music if i press the note that is in the same position on my keyboard its a D.

I dont know if I am missing something here or what any help would be greatful

Thank you
Steven

"When I press C on my keyboard it's playing D" <-- That's what your saying right?

You havent fiddled with the keyboard and managed to adjust some settings? Like transpose?

Yes that's what I mean, when I press the note that is in the same position on my keyboard as it is on the sheet it's a D and no I have not fiddled with the settings

OK, I think I'm starting to understand. I googled YAMAHA PSR E303 to see what you have.

So, are you saying that when you play a D on your keyboard, the keyboard display shows the note in the C position?

What happens when you play a C?

I googled "YAMAHA PSR E303 Manual" and found a solution! Press the function button until "Transpose" appears on the LCD Display, then press 0 0 on the keypad. And presto, transpose es nada!
