Very nice post. By chance i was searching for this but i found it just the day before you post it. It is going to be very helpful for other and will prevent them from getting a bad habit in the fingering.

Well, I have never practiced them, or learned them hehe
I know how to find them easly though, but Id have to learn the by hart if I where to make a tutorial ^^

Well, from what I can tell I got the Correct fingerings! And the scales Should be played like I do! This is cause this will help you prepare for pieces to come! Its all about economy, and in my opinion Not about most comfort right away cause in the beginning and for a long time, different fingers will be harder to use, Even if they are actually the best way! I have always forced myself to do the most economic fingering instead of using the fingers I feel most comfort with - Is this okay to understand?

I try to separate the terms so its understandable. In the beginning your 4 and 5 will be hard to use, and you might think that since you can play the passage using 3 and 2 since this is easiest, that you should do that, but the most economic thing would be to use your 4 and 5! So in the short run, 2 and 3 are easiest, but actually thinking on progress and in the long run, you will be better of forcing yourself to play with 4 and 5!! Most economic dosnt mean easiest to execute, but easiest still in a long term perspective!

I am working on my scales these days, and just discovered your tutorial.
Love the picture at the beginning

At first I learned only the 5 finger versions with the chords played separately, thats what I know the best - i play that with both hands - so now i am trying to practice the full scale.
My problem is still playing the full scales with both hands at the same time and its still "killing me" because each hand needs to shift at a different place with a different finger and i just get distracted with it.
I do try take it slower.. no success so far.

Any advice? Thanks

Hey, this helps a lot, I wasn't sure about F major scale, which finger goes on which key :S Now I'm sure that I was pressing right keys. But I didn't know about last 5 scales, I watched 7 lessons only, just didin't think about anything else except ABCDEFG :'( How embarrassing :S Shame on me.

Not at all. You should take one step at a time; once you become an expert on the natural notes you'll get the sharps and flats in no time.
