Its a system that shows how others like your posts and also how much you help people!
People with 2 or more points can rate others post by a + or a -
You have apparently gotten a - on one of your post, then the post would probably be Red on the side!
To even out the score Ill give you a + now Also when one creates a topic, you can give away 1 Thanks* to another person if you feel they have solved your problem or made a great post/reply, this will then give them 3points!

Re: What are guru points?
Lucky me this question has already been posted... I was just wondering how one gets Guru-Points... Have also always been wondering what those pluses and minuses mean... I was about to post a topic with this question!!! =)
So whatever I have said so far it must have been worth 6 pluses! Thats kinda cool, considering I dont really feel like Im too much of a guru on the piano or at all in music-business... and what is really cool is that adding up to the six guru-points Im also a well-known pianist... that rocks!!!
pretty good for my ego!!! hahaha.... gotta watch out that I dont get carried away!!! =)
