Some questions
1.On a sheet there's a lot note with an 11 marked above them and on the bass, it's still follow the time signature. How?
2.Sometimes, there are also smaller notes which don't seem to follow the time signature.(they are not grace notes).
These are in Chopin nocturnes, by the way, so if anybody has ever anylised(anylized? whatever) them

1: Hm... Not sure! If I picture it correct in my head, I have never seen this before!!
2: In this notationprog I got the option to add notes that dont mess with the laws of notation. They are sort of like grace notes, but might not look like them. But they should be played as if they are grace notes thought. Might be like this? You play them if they where a regular note, often a little faster than its original value!! Try listening to recordings, and you will very soon find out how those notes are played ^^

Re: Some questions
Ah! Yeah!! One of my absolute favorite nocturnes btw!**
Well, its Sort of like a Triplet! Where 3 notes should be played as their value was 2. But this 11 is a little different, but the Principal is the same! Chopin uses alot of these! It means that those 11notes are going to be played as if they where 6 8ths. Did that make seance? hehe
Basically you have to fit those 11 8ths together with the 6 8ths that are in the left hand
The tempo can be a little rubato, but not to much, cause then this thing will loose its magicallity
These come in all sizes! 5s 9s 11s 15s 22s ect ect ect It all depends on what the composer wants!! And in this case its 11 vs 6
Added the original vs an ex I made^^

Re: Some questions
I knew this one! Well I knew there were 11 notes in the thingy, I counted them! I don't really understand the technical stuff Thomas said I'll just try and play both hands at the same time and make it sound nice

Thank you for taking time to answer, it really helped!!
Last thing: Can the composer do the same thing, but without the 11?
http://chopinfiles.net/sheetmusic/pre28_24.pdf bar #14
Is that articulated correctly?

Yes, he can
Like in this ex, its actually very obvious cause one could never fit that many 8ths in there, if they where meant to be 8ths!!
