I'm currently learning comptine d'un autre ete, and noticed about midway through the second page, above the staff there is "8va" written, followed by a dotted line through the rest of the piece. Judging by hearing people play the piece, i'm guessing this means move the treble up an octave? Is this correct? Thanks much!

8va means, Volta Alta, (fly or lift up) an octave, in Italian.
8vb or 8 vbassa means to play an octave lower than written.
Page turns that are to be turned real fast usually say "vs" which means volti subito, or "turn quickly". You'll see this if you play keyboards in musical theater.
Volteggiando means crossing of hands in piano playing.
