I've been keen to play music for a while now. I tried to learn guitar a few years back but made limited progress and got frustrated. I learnt some music theory and could master a few pieces of various songs, but it never felt very comfortable or held together very well.

I'm hoping to start afresh with piano/keyboard. I just came across Andrew via one of his YouTube videos. I looked at his first lesson on this site and was very impressed.

Here's hoping he can guide me to a comfort level with the piano and an understanding of music I never achieved before. I think it's great that he's doing this - promoting the truly international language of music.

Welcome Ray, I'm from the UK too!

Yeah Andrew is awesome and he excels in making the piano comfortable for people, the only time it don't feel right is when you try and jump ahead, use wrong technique and think you're amazing because you can play one really hard song but nothing else.

My advice is to take it at a steady pace, learn some theory, set yourself some goals and order some practice time in your schedule and anytime you come across something which you don't understand and can't find the answer for, ask the forum! Its as simple as that! And after a while you'll be progressing really well and feel really proud Very Happy

Hi Klavier,

Thanks for the welcome. I've just worked my way through lesson two and I'm very encouraged by the way Andrew puts his ideas across - it's nice and clear. Looking forward to lesson three tomorrow.
