There are so many, but Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata has always been my favorite, and probably always will be. I love the whole thing, but the 3rd movement is probably my personal favorite by a hair's breadth.

Smile The first movement is my fav Very Happy Probably just because I can play it Smile . I think the second movement is really underrated myself.

One of my favorite pieces at the mo, would be the Scriabin Fantasie. But saying that, I am a very big Scriabin fan, im not sure how you all might take it?

I like it! What I could hear of it at least (I just got over the flu but being sick caused fluid build up in the eustachian tubes in my ears and everything sounds muffled! ugh)

I'm pretty much a Chopin fan, not that I don't appreciate other composers.

Nocturne Op.9 No.2 in E flat major
Nocturne in C sharp minor (Op. Posth.)
Nocturne Op.15 No.3 in G minor
Waltzes - Grande Valse Brilliante

(it goes on and on)

Oh, and of course, Dolphins by Andrew Furmanczyk. (:

Hard to name just one, but that would have to be
Bach's Jesu bleibet meine freude (Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring)
Always loved it, sang it in choir many moons ago, and now I can actually play it too! (at least my own somewhat shorter version).

Other than that I'm a huge fan of Tchaikovsky (Swan Lake being my all time favorite). I know it's not really for piano, but I'm determined to make a few scores of my favorite pieces for easy piano.

I am not sure about favourites, maybe some things by Scriabin like this:

What I also like is a recent composition by Garry Schyman:

(Sheet Music is available 4 free on the latter one I believe, if anyone wants it, PM me and I search around)

Polonaise in A flat major, Chopin Opus 53. My parents owned the Leonard Pennario LP "Favorite Classics for Piano" in the 1950's which is how I first heard this masterpiece. It is still my favorite piano composition.

Of course, there are many personal favorites by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Joplin, Grieg, Gershwin, Brahms, etc.

Here is Pennario's performance of Polonaise Opus 53 from "Favorite Classics for Piano" in the 1950's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rlf5BTyA7Q . He re-recorded the album (adding a couple new cuts) in the early 1970's, and played the Polonaise slightly slower then.
