I'm in the school talent show!

Well, sorta

I have to audition on the 20th October, bit nervous but I'm sure I will do fine

I will be playing:
>Apologize By Timbaland.

Hopefully, they put the sheet holder stand up on the grand before I get there... Don't wanna fuss around figuring out it works XD

Ah cool So you know how to play with sheets as help??
I guess I should try to learn that... It seams like a good tool?!

I use them to remind me what comes next and stuff, without the sheets, i play the first 15 bars and i cant remember anything that comes next

Yeah, I see I have never tried to do that, but Im getting better at using the sheets while i practice to do what you say there. But its almost like my brain dosnt want to memorize as good then hehe
But hope you get a good performance!!! This is a really cool experience for you even if you win or place othervise

Great audition, now the moment of truth weather i got through will be revealed Wednesday.

I made afew minor mistakes and skipped half a page from nerves

There were some dancing auditions which were amaizing, but. I was surely the best

Hey Jordan - When are we going to see one of your perfomances??

Performances? I'm not a concert pianist. I've never in my life performed in a concert hall other than in my conservatory. I wish I was good enough to be a concert pianist. But if you mean performances as in videos of me playing pieces, sure! The bad news is that I still have nothing to record with, I still need to buy a camera because the webcam I have is garbage and it has no sound, with bad quality. As soon as I purchase one I'll be flooding the performance page with my performances just like you and everyone else who has a camera.

I'm trying my best to save some money up. I need a grand first of all, remember I told you that I might finance a Steinway? This digital piano I currently have is garbage, can't stand playing with it. As soon as I get a cheap webcam and a decent piano I'll start putting up some stuff. Thomas has a great digital piano, that's actually the one I wanted to get for a while if I don't get the Steinway. And obviously you, Andrew, have that beautiful Yamaha baby grand. If I had that I'd be home all day lol.

That was a fun night! Messed up a little so I just improvised a little part of it lol.

Unfortunately, I do not have a video of me playing. But I do have a few pictures of me at the piano I'll get them on-line when my laptop card reader works again lol

nice! One thing, do you usually sit that close to the piano? You might do yourself a HUGE favor if you move the seat back so you're sitting on the front half of the bench, knees just under the end of the white keys. ^_^ Looks like a fun time! Thanks for the pictures man!

the reason why im so close in that pic is because the bench was moved forward and I forgot to move to back. Since i was only there for a few seconds i didn't see the point in moving it

But i will take your advice next time im on the piano, at home I sit on my comfy PC chair

Also, the person kneeling next to me in the first pic is my helpful page turner. Dave I asked him very last minute if he would turn the page and he agreed. So, I owe him one
