Mac or PC? Empty Mac or PC?

Post by Admin Andrew Wed May 14, 2008 5:38 am

I was just wondering what people use generally.

I'm using a PC it's windows XP dual monitors with dual 5.1 surround sound speakers. Here's the picture of it. You can't see the external HD on top of my tower because I use a sock to cover the light that shines. It's to bright when i sleep so i just cover it up. I like PC, but I've been thinking about getting a Mac as my next computer for awhile. I like how mac's apparently don't get many viruses, and i'm not much of a gamer these days. The only thing that really bugs me about mac is the single button mouse, and of course that they're more expensive.

I remember that... it is pretty cool cheers Well Mac seems to lose in the race... I dont have too much problems with Mac... although the MACs are lacking many of the plugins and stuff which is available for Windows in many cases... Otherwise the only thing I like to have is a PC. I seriously hate typing on a laptop and a laptop cant be upgraded too much... you spend a whole lot of money on it and it goes out of fashion in almost 6 months. Very Happy

I only have a study computer not much of a speciality ( Compaq Presario with AMD Athlon 64, 3800+, with only 250 Mb which is painfully not enough and by the way I still have a huge white 17' screen, it is fr. heavy)

Actually you'd be surprised at how helpful 2 monitors can be. If you like to multi task like I do, it will make you life SO much easier Very Happy I use one display as a primary monitor and the other as and info display showing me things like MSN, Itunes, video players, system resources, sound options, and sometimes i'll browse the internet and watch a tutorial video for say photo shop on one monitor while i'm using photo shop full screen on the main monitor Very Happy I love it, I don't think i could go back to one monitor anymore. I always felt like i was limited with 1 monitor before. Sort of like if you only had on hand Smile Having to monitors feels like having a set of hands, one helps the other and it just makes things so much more smooth! Anyway, that's just my opinion though

Mac or PC? Empty Re: Mac or PC?

Post by Jordan Sat May 17, 2008 5:12 am

It's hard to answer this question since I love both PC's. I'm currently running a Windows computer with Windows Vista Ultimate as my main computer before I buy a Mac Pro. I use my computer for music and other stuff, and the reason why I want a Mac Pro is because it's pretty much one of the fastest processors out there. It's amazing for music, which is what I'm going to use it for, and it's a VERY powerful computer.

If I were to pick an answer then I'd certainly pick both. Oh and by the way Andrew, nice setup you have there. I have the same wide screen except mines black, 23", and it's a Gateway.
