How to chose the fingering? Empty How to chose the fingering?

Post by Benoit Sun Jun 19, 2011 5:24 am

Hello,

I have been playing the piano for two years. I am starting to write my own fingering and my teacher correct them. I would like to know if it exists books about fingerings. How can I learn how to choose the fingering of the scores? I am not talking about scales and arpeggios here but about score.

Thank you

You do what feels ok for you and your fingers. A more experienced piano player might give some feedback ( teacher ), and might also give you some alternative ways of placeing the fingers. But it's you that gotta feel comfy with it.

If it doesnt feel ok, everyone has differ a little bit in how to place their fingers. I dont know if there are much information about this really, because it's something that kinda comes natural with experience and playing.
