Kohler and Campbell..but it was a freebie so I can't complain..Whenever I can I'm going to trade it in for a Kawai..I played a yamaha grand piano at a concert last year and it was so beautifully mellow and responsive....

I have a 49K YAMAHA Porta Sound PSS-470

Its a small keyboard. Small keys, not even touch sensitive, but i like the sound compared to other cheap keyboards.

Planning to buy a YAMAHA P-series Digital but just havent got the money.

I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e USB MIDI keyboard connected to my computer and a FL-Keys software piano synthesizer. It's touch sensitive and is powered by the USB cable.

I couldn't ever fit a real piano in my tiny student apartment even if I could afford one Sad

Kinda the same here, my parents would never let me put an acoustic piano in the living room(if they ever buy me one) and my room is too small. The only place I could put it is downstairs, but it's freaking cold down there Sad

NOW I'm more than happy, and I finally can reply to this poll. Today I went and bought a digital piano, the dream I've had forever and now finally I was able to get one.

Btw those with space issues, an upright piano can have a pretty small "footprint" so it's not a good excuse.
I wish I had a cheap upright instead of a digital but not sure my neighbors would like it. It's soo much a different touch (and sound). My DP sounds OK I think, grand piano sound etc. you know the drill, but I prefer my teachers' upright and it's not any big brand but it just sort of feels "live". I never have the same feeling sitting at mine than at that one.
Just consider this if you're still not decided yet.

My piano has Emil Auberon written on the front. It's a smallish upright. But it's a 20+ year old piano, I think.. N some keys are already a bit bad.. It was my 27 year old sister's birthday present(when she was 10 years old) by my mom, n it's a second hand also. So, it's old~~~ Can anyone tell me something about it? scratch

Just judging by the name it can be as old as 100 years. If it is then you might be in trouble (not so good action and after a while they lose tuning etc).
If it is just 20 years old then it's a modern piano and it should still work well and perhaps serve you for a lifetime. 20 years is young for a piano, it's been just barely warmed up no worries Smile

Good pianos last decades if cared for properly.

It sounds like you need to call a piano technician to take a look at it, get it fixed etc. Real pianos need some love and care, this guy can tell you anything you need to know about it.

If I could do it, the 340 is what I'd get right now. Well, I guess since I'm fantasizing right now, I'd upgrade to the 380 to get the wood keys (unnecessary expense, IMO, but we're fantasizing here) , but still, the 340 is a beautiful instrument.

i would love a nice grand piano one day but for now... i have a yamaha motif xs6 (runs about 2000 US dollars) that comes with some amazing sampled sounds as my fav to play... to make up for the touch on the keys i invested in a really nice controller keyboard with extremely nice weighted keys.. since i generally work on funk and soul music so the electric keyboard with a built in midi sequencer is nice because i can put drums to my music easilly without having to record them live!

Casio CTK-496 is not really a digital piano, it is a keyboard :-) But if it has 88 weighted keys, it may be approximated as digital piano.
Anyways I have a yamaha clp320. The only problem with that is it takes a while to get used to certain settings like setting metronome speed and all, other wise the keys have a very nice and solid feel.
