Tried to search and did not find anyone asking for this, but it seems Andrew showed it on one of its vids (tried to find the passage but coulnt :/)

Anyway, how is the F major scale fingering?

If i am not mistaken, its F G A A# C D E F, but if i start with 1 on F, 2 on G, and 3 on A i cant manage to do the thumb thuck to put 1 on A#, so i guess that for this scale it is done diferently ^^.

Anyway i should get my hanon book and scale book by next week, but any help sooner would be very welcome \(>^.^)>

edit:
phoned a friend \o/ its 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4, dunno how i dint find it myself, but i tend to check thing first anyway, dont want to practice incorrectly and gain bad vices Razz

Yupp Smile Thats the way I do it. I also found a great alternative that is easyer! But if its correct to do Im not sure about. But I know there is different fingerings for scales. So...

F G A A# C D E F
1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4

Is there a guide for the proper fingering placements for all the scales? (the major ones at least) I couldn't find one on the forum Sad I did find this site, though.

http://www.audiblefaith.com/artists/rharrell/music/pianoscales.html

The only thing that confuses me is their numbering on the way down. Seems physically impossible >.< Maybe that's just me.

Also (sorry for two questions in one post), after doing a tuck when playing a scale, do all the rest of the fingers need to be on/touching the piano? Or is it okay to have them just drop one by one as you play? Not sure if it's bad practice to do it per the latter.
