Piano tablature

http://www.pianotabs.net/ If you've been here you know what piano tabs are. Anybody besides me notice that there might be a better way to write piano tablature. Or does anybody else here have an Idea for another way to write music, and is too lazy to do it? ^_^

A better way to write tablature?

A good way to write music is using music notation.

You should use it, as it will help you progress faster and give you better technique and habbits. Why reinvent the wheel? Smile

(Tablature is lazy fishing.)

Well I meant so you can write down music you come up with without music notation paper or software.

Most people can't compose, so writing down music "you come up with" could be hard without actually having the proper equipment around.

If its a "on the run" thing you should get a voice/audio-recorder, and say the notes, hum or sing them into it.

If you compose some songs you will get pretty good at notation also, at least I suddanly started to get a feel of what notes, where they where and so on just like that. But of course it takes practice to get Rally good at it, like everything else in music Smile

First time I've ever seen piano tabs, sheets are much easier to read than those tabs. For guitar there is a reason for tabs, because they are easy to read. But keep away from piano tabs.

If you wanna write down music you should use a music notation program.

I use a mix of Guitar Pro and FruityLoops to write down. I got one composition up very soon ^_^
