Didn't even know Floyd was into A Minor Scale :D

Post by AirHendrix on Sun Jun 29, 2008 3:35 am

Sup guys, I hope you're having a good day. I was listening to "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" by Pink Floyd for like the 6th time and I've realized after watching Andrew's video on the A Minor scale, that alot of the songs on that album feature that scale on the synth parts.

Just thought I'd like to share that lol.

THOUGH, I kinda wanted to know how to play the A Major scale. I didn't have time to play piano / use Youtube at the same time but I just wanted to know if Andrew did any videos on the A Major Scale. Did he?

hi AirHendrix...

thanks for sharing that.

the notes in the A-minor scale are

ABCDEFG#A -->harmonic minor. reverse the notes while descending

ABCDEF#G#A [ascending]
AGFEDCBA [descending] -->melodic minor.

glad to have u on the forums...
