Meaning of horizontal line over a note?
I just came across this in a piece I'm practicing with. There's a series of five notes, each with a small horizontal line above them. It almost looks like a ledger line, but it isn't. What is the meaning of these horizontal lines?

A small line above them. That would mean to "hold to" or "cling to" the note for it's full value.
