Prelude in D minor Opus 28 No 24 by Chopin.

I have the Scores for this music from two different sources. And my query relates to differences between the versions at the end of the first half of Bar 17.

Score '1' shows an eighth note (F) for the RH coinciding with an eighth note (mid C) for the LH.

Score '2' shows a quarter note (F) for the RH coinciding with an eighth note (mid C) for the LH.

Accordingly, the notes following the F in the second half are delayed a further eighth in Score '2' than in Score '1'.

What is the significance of this.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Thankyou Amro.

Since posting my last message I have yet another!

What I am really looking for is some correlation between LH and RH for Bars such as No 14, for example.

The latest score i have, comes nearest to showing this in the first half of Bar 14 with eight demisemiquavers for RH aligning with four semiquavers for the LH. But I am struggling to understand why there are five demisemiquavers for the RH, coinciding with the final note in the first half of Bar 14 - a G quaver.

Also, I see that the the two halves of Bar 14 for the Left have the same timing but for the RH the first half has 13 demisemiquavers but the second half has 15.

Thankyou for your help.
