I want to get HIGH quality sound from my Piano transfered to my computer.
I got myselfe a cable and I downloaded Audacity. But the problem is that I really cant play f, or ff, or fff at all becouse the sound is just getting really bad. LOTS of noise and static. I know Victor is good at this.. i think. =)

What should I get. Dont want to spend more than (500kr) - 80-90$

Cables, programs ++

OR

Could I get great sound from Audiocity with my already bought cable. Maby Im missunderstandig the settings...

AND

The Wav Audiocity produces does not want to transfere to MovieMaker(Vista Edition)

I had the same problem, you have to turn the volume on your piano down and the volume on audacity up, thats how to work around it Wink. Because if the volume on the piano is to high the signal becomes to strong, and thats when it gets so strong it becomes static noise...

All I really use is a normal sound cable from the headphone output of the piano to the microphone input of the computer Wink Works excellent.

Well I cant adjust the volume sendt from my Out-chanal on the piano. It a standard. So I cant really get around it like you can.
But, I actually got a OKAY^ sound when I turned down the Microphonevolume On my computer. No static at all, but still i feel the sound is a bit boring Razz Maby that isnt somthing I can controll Razz hehe

BUT then when I tryed to transfere the WAV it wasnt aproved by MovieMaker.. So first of all, thats the problem. It sais I needed to install a codec. But I dont know what cind or anything Razz Damn.. I should have been born more tecnical :p

Now I read that you use your "the headphone output of the piano" I tryed that insted of the normal OUT-Chanal on my Piano, and it worked MUCH better =D Tnx alot. The sound is very good, and NO static Wink Great!!!

But then I only need a program that can handle WAV directly from Audiocity or I need to find a way to get MovieMaker to accept the WAV... And as I said a codec is needed of some cind.. Razz

I have no idea why your Windows Movie Maker has problems with wav when it can import wav,mp3, mp2, wma, asf etc files... so wav is included... anyway...

I recorded with Audacity and it can save your files to mp3 or wav... I dont get it why it doesnt let u do the export it to mp3 for example.
But as you have this problem let me tell you about a good program it is called Quick Media Converter and it can convert video files and audio files also. The nicest thing about it that it is free

http://quick-media-converter.en.softonic.com/

So convert your file to mp3 or wmw and you should be able to import it into your Windows Movie Maker... if it is still now working... well try to update your Windows...
Hope that you can solve it
