Music for piano education - 133 pieces AWESOME

Post by jytte on Sun Sep 26, 2010 3:25 pm

This will be on my next page-update, but I couldn't wait to share this with y'all, plus this deserves a special mention.

"Music for piano education" by Johannes Rövenstrunck
133 pieces, from the very first piano lesson to intermediate. I ran through it, and it's pretty awesome.
I comes in 4 volumes in English, and the same 4 volumes in German.
I'm uploading as I'm writing here, so here are links to each:

vol 1, eng
vol 2, eng
vol 3, eng
vol 4, eng

vol 1, deu
vol 2, deu
vol 3, deu
vol 4, deu

Also, they came from this website: Copy-Us
"Copy-us is an internet publishing house for contemporary music: we publish the works of our composers free of charge on the internet "
More than 500 of them, check it out.

This is really awesome. (: Now I have enough piano material to busy myself with for at least a decade.

Thanks, Jytte.

What I really like is, that it is a step by step, logically ascending manual in different techniques really, not by explaining, but by simply learning to play the pieces one by one. Really cool.

THIS is what I need. I just can't dedicate myself to do excersizes (can't figure out the spelling, lol). I did this myself by searching new songs to play with challenges in them. I also tried to create my own songs with 1 or 2 challenges for myself, but I'm sure as hell look at this.

Thank you for sharing this!

I think this was meant to be for piano-teachers, but since we are self-learners, we are teachers as well, he he he.

Teachers or not, I just started playing piano with a keyboard background. These logical exercises make perfect sense and I have logical way to nail some techniques combining left and right. Again, thx! Smile
