I read through this, and it covers everything from the names of the keys, to how to write lyrics....
And it explains it in an easy way, so very easy to understand for beginners...

Ravenspiral - Guide to Music Theory

It covers, keys, chords, scales, modes, harmony, melody, rythm and lyrics, and I actually learned alot from it.
If you're not all into theory yet, you should read through this one, it was boring either as it usually is...

I was just looking at wikipedia about the Piano, and I found this link, and I'm sure it will help:

http://www.musique.umontreal.ca/personnel/Belkin/Piano/PianoTechnique.html

Mostly beginner stuff, but might work for everyone. It got alot of good advices. One that I noted me was "it is not advisable to repeat it more than three or four times in a row, since your mind will begin to wander". The last couple of days I've been trying to do that, it shortens the practice time, and it does as much work as 10+ repeats does. This also makes me able to practice 2 pieces at once, when I've repeated nr.1 3-4 times I go on to nr.2, that keeps me from wandering around and even if it's just 2 bars of a song i'm practicing it's helping.

And also this one: "Since it involves muscle memory, it is useful to keep to hands poised, lightly in touch with the keys, while reading the music. Removing the hands completely, or completely relaxing them, requires you to re-orient yourself at the keyboard in mid-phrase." So if I enter a spot where I need to take a "break" to figure out what to play next I just keep the hands in the last known position instead of moving them into another position.

There are alot of things you dont really think about, because it's so obvious lol!

I can actually use all the theory I can get. To me, studying the theory isn't close to being boring, I could even say I rather study all the theory than even play the instrument. lol. Pretty much. 'Cause it always seems to work better in the theory than when you practice. Or I just really enjoy reading and knowing stuff. (:

By the way, thanks for the link. Like a Star @ heaven
