Pinky on right hand is wraping!!
Ok I taught myself piano for about 2 years and developed very bad habits. So I then spent the next 6 months trying to learn the right techniques using the book "Hanon" and "Cenzy 'School of velocity" and Andrew's Videos (^_^). Thanks ;p
(^_^).
However I am having a very frustrating problem with my pinky (5th finger) on my right hand.
EVERY TIME I DON'T USE IT IT KEEPS WRAPPING ITSELF AROUND! IT LOOKS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! how do I fix it?
Or is it even a problem because I saw a video on youtube of professional pianist with his pinky warping too.

Thanks for all who respond. bounce bounce bounce bounce affraid affraid pig pale Like a Star @ heaven

Re: Pinky on right hand is wraping!!
Learn the right techniques by using Hanon and Czerny? That's most likely the problem as you most likely learn the wrong techniques by using Hanon and Czerny. Anyways, I'm not sure what you mean with wrapping your pinky, maybe you could show us a picture of it.
Anyways, back to the topic of right and wrong techniques, I recommend that you read this book about piano practice:
http://c0431582.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/book.pdf
You will find the correct techniques in that book, not by wasting your time practicing Hanon and Czerny.

Hello
Horowitz had the same problem. In most people's opinion, he was a great pianist. Nevertheless I don't really share this opinion
It means that some muscles of your hand are too weak. Theoretically, there is a way to make it better, but it would take time. You need a (very good) piano teacher sitting next to you to fix this...
