Question about notation

Hi,

I wrote a long story but realized it's easier if I make a photo.
So, how do I play the following thing, since (to my knowledge) it contains both notation for staccato and legato (and considering you can't really do legato on same not, can you?):

well since you have a piano teacher I'd wait to see whta they would like you to do there. One thing for sure is yes it is impossible to join the same note when it repeats.

Yep, will need to ask her I guess. I always forget some small detail. Write down some info but there's some small detail I don't and then forget :p ah well.

Actually there was a case when I had joined notes of same pitch, but it was the end of the melody, a 3/4 one, there was a dotted half note, then last measure same note as quarter and 2 quarter... those thingies when you don't do anything, forgot the english name, uh. Made sense to press it and keep it pressed thru the measure and the quarter of next measure. But here it doesn't, it's middle of melody. Anyway.

Well, I would interpretate it like this: Since there is several ways of playing staccato, you can do it very, very clear with big jumps on the note and -> those who are small lift off's.

So, Id just slightly lift from the note, while holding the pedal down and "sort of" create the feel that its staccato while you sort of also create the feel of not moving the finger from the key

Id say its not important to hold the note-value, but still avoiding the huge staccato-feel

It's called "portamento".
It's like stacato, but you hesitate on it.
