Re: Piano or Keyboard; DGX-630 yamaha
For the full version I think you need more than 61 keys definitely. There is this complex part near the end and throughout the middle there is these A minor arpeggios which need the higher notes you get on 88 keys but for like 80% of the piece you can do it with less than 88 keys i think, maybe even a way to do all of it but it wont sound exactly the same as traditional versions.
Maybe there is a full version on less than 88 but based on my not very extensive knowledge I don't think so o.0 Maybe Thomandy, Andrew or someone knows better

Re: Piano or Keyboard; DGX-630 yamaha
You are correct Klavier The solos require you to have 88keys, as you say the last A minor run goes from the middle of the piano and 4 octaves up the piano!
For the main theme you can have a regular sized keyboard

Re: Piano or Keyboard; DGX-630 yamaha
i learn the complete song but not as fast as the original. ill continue practicing it until i perfect it. i only practice it in a 49 keys keyboard so it has many blanks. by the way whats the victor's solo?? is that the victor in "corpse bride"?

Re: Piano or Keyboard; DGX-630 yamaha
I suggest you get a piano, or a digital piano for that matter. keyboards mostly have plastic keys which make their touch different to pianos. The weight and touch of a key can greatly affect your performance. Plus most keyboards only have the sustain button and not actual pedals, (IDK about that model). So I highly suggest you get a baby grand or a digital piano, if you have the budget.
