Rests are More importaint than notes
Something I want you guys to be aware of is that Rests should NOT be taken lightly. In fact , they are MORE important than notes themselves. You should ALWAYS observe them with the exact same attention to detail as you would if you were playing a note. After all a rest is pretty much just a silent note. The reason they're important is they're given a certain value, this means that if you alter that value you've chopped up the timing and beat of the music. Also, rests make things dramatic or peaceful, bring you to the edge of your seat, or lull you into a deep thought.
Rests are wonderful..
Enjoy them!

Extremly important wisdom
."A silver tongue tarnishes, but silence stays gold."
That nothing to do with this I just thought about it.However one of my clinicians said to us that the silence is what keeps the crowd quite, by that he means that if there is nothing but sound then there is nothing left to excpect but.....SOUND!
